Although not currently present but always in our hearts,

there are FIVE other "members" of our pet family that brighten our lives with their presence:

Mrs. VANILLA

03 Mar 1998 - 16 May 2008

She was our "really" first dog. Born in 1998 lived with us for 10 years until she passed away in 2008. She gave birth to 10 puppies that all lived in happy homes with beautiful people. She was an excellent guard, an outstanding mother and a bossy character than managed effectively the whole pet family (both dogs and cats), with just "a look"!

Ch Hellenic Spirit ELVIRA

11 Jul 2000 - 16 Jun 2006

She was the biggest puppy of Vanilla! With lavish personality and the habit of giving "hot kisses" she passed away in 2006. When a new pappy arrived from the Netherlands, family decided to keep the name alive and now Red Embers' Elvira has her own family.

Hellenic Spirit TAIKO

11 Jul 2000 - 08 Dec 2006

He was the smallest puppy of Vanilla's litter! He was not given away because of his size; but eventually he became a really big dog, an affectionate giant with pure country behavior and a great guard dog! He passed away in 2006.

MICHALAKIS

15 Aug 2002 - MIA*

Mike was a stray black and white male cat that Maria found abandoned in Michalakopoulou Street in Athens' downtown (hence his name). He was a daring cat that liked to make long journeys in the near by country area - while flirting with local females. He was always coming back home even in the middle of the worst snow storm the area was ever experienced - friezed to the bones! Until on day in March 2005...

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
